Top 7 Phoenix Restaurants - Local Favorites

SEVEN restaurants in Phoenix you’ll find the locals frequenting for the laid back vibe, good service, and consistently yummy food. The drinks don’t hurt either.

1. La Grande Orange Grocery

Known as “LGO” to locals, this place has to be a little confusing to outsiders, especially with grocery in the name. It’s a lot of things…mini market + breakfast + lunch + grab and go meals + pizzeria and bar at night. I like to pop in for some breakfast and a latte, but all times of day are great. Grab a bottle of wine, some cheese a magazine, some cute kids gifts, some stationery and a cookie on your way out. LOL

  • Location: Arcadia

  • Favorite Breakfast: Daybreaker Omelette or Commuter Sandwich

  • Favorite Lunch: Rotisserie Turkey Salad

  • Favorite Dinner: Green Chili Burger

2. O.H.S.O. Brewery + Distillery

Hope you don’t mind a dog or 10 because everyone brings theirs to this place. Not a dog fan? That’s ok, you’ll still survive. I do. Chill neighborhood hangout, but no two locations are the same. Oh and don’t miss the beer brunch on Sundays.

  • Locations:

  1. Indian School Location in Central Phoenix: roll up on your bikes via the canal path that runs behind it

  2. Tatum and Shea Location in North PHX/Paradise Valley: Large patio with games

  • Favorite Drink: Cocktail no longer on the menu called Cue The Lime

  • Favorite App: Pretzel Board or Buffalo Cauliflower

  • Favorite Main: Brisket Mac

  • MENU

3. Hava Java

Nothing splashy about this place, but this long running coffee shop in the Biltmore area is a nice place to hangout. We love to head there after a hike at the Camelback Mountain Echo Canyon Trail.

  • Location: Biltmore area

  • Favorite Snack: Zucchini Bread

  • Favorite Drink: I always get a latte, but they’ll make you whatever you want.

4. The Parlor

A very unsuspecting building from the outside. Looks like a concrete bunker, but don’t be scared. It’s awesome on the inside. Wood-fired pizza, handmade pasta, wine. Nothing else to say here. It’s yummy AF.

  • Location: Uptown at Camelback and 10th St.

  • Favorite Pizza: Funghi, but you can’t miss on any of them

  • MENU

5. Luci’s At The Orchard

Great outdoor area with lots of trees, a little splash pad for the kids and lots of yummy breakfast and lunch options. Apparently they have dinner which is news to me so it looks like I have more research to do!

  • Location: Uptown Phoenix at Glendale and 12th St.

  • Favorite Breakfast: Breakfast Frittata

  • Favorite Lunch: Sweet Fig & Tuna Salad Wrap

  • MENU

6. The Vig

We love the upscale tavern vibe and the yard games.

  • Phoenix Locations: Downtown Phoenix + Arcadia

  • Favorite Appetizer: Blistered Shishito Peppers

  • MENU

7. Welcome Diner

What we love about this place is that it is smack dab in the middle of a historic neighborhood. Diner-ish vibe inside with laid back outdoor seating and farm to table menu.

  • Location: Garfield Historic District, Downtown PHX at 10th St + Pierce

  • MENU

8 - 9 - 10. Ok what did I miss?
